Chateau Rieussec 2008

Chateau Rieussec – First Growth Sauternes

Bill Blatch: Quite a thickly-styled wine for the vintage, this Rieussec has considerable power and weight, with a long sweet fullness to it that is nicely offset by nicely aromatic fresh fruit aromas which then lead back into a honeyed, long finish. I’m not sure how this is going to age, but would suggest enjoying it pretty early on.
