Chateau Liot – 2009 En Primeur Sauternes
Chateau Liot – AC Barsac
Bill Blatch: At 130 g/l residual, this is a rich wine for this property. It has considerable density, in an acacia honeyed 1989 kind of tone. Very rich but very fine and quite oaky. This will probably be one of the values of the vintage.
Wine Advocate 87-89pts: The Liot 2009 is comparatively simple on the nose, but the palate is well balanced with vibrant honeyed fruit, inflected with touches of orange zest, white peach and nectarine. A little sharp on the finish, but fresh and enticing in its own unassuming way.
All prices are £ per case, In Bond UK. Wines are currently in barrel and will be bottled and shipped from 2012 after which either in bond storage, in bond delivery or duty paid delivery (including VAT) charges will be invoiced at 2012 rates.
