Chateau de Malle 2002

Chateau de Malle – Second Growth Sauternes

Bill Blatch: Here is a perfect example of what 2002 can do: perfect minerality, a superbly fresh expression of botrytis and a tight, quite acid base have all come together into a quite early-developing barley-sugar kind of fruit that is super fragrant and now quite soft. I would recommend drinking this rather than keeping it. Why risk losing all those fresh qualities when we don’t know how they will age beyond this?
