Chateau Coutet 2004

Chateau Coutet – First Growth Barsac

Chateau Coutet, BarsacBill Blatch: Coutet have a cooler soil than others, making the harvest generally about a week later. This really worked to their advantage in 2004 when they could thus benefit from that extra week during the dry October for extra concentration. This is therefore a remarkably dense and lush wine for the vintage, but it also retains that incisive, white peach style that are its hallmark every year. A lovely Barsac.
