2011 Sauternes Hors d’Oeuvres
As an antidote to 2011 Red Bordeaux we suggest following Sauternes and dry white Bordeaux (and dry Sauternes) this year. Steve has just arrived in Bordeaux and tomorrow we will taste the 2011′s together and begin to form our opinion on the vintage. At the moment we are cautiously optimistic but time will tell – we start at Climens and Yquem in the morning followed by a mass tasting of all the cru classe at La Tour Blanche and some chateaux hopping.
