I’ve always found Sauternes romantic – both the place and certainly the wines!  With such a high percentage of female wine makers and proprietors (Sandrine Garbay at d’Yquem, Bérénice Lurton at Climens, Aline Baly at Coutet, Martine Langlais-Pauly at Clos Haut-Peyraguey, Laure de Lambert des Granges at Sigalas-Rabaud, Marie-Pierre Lacoste at La Clotte-Cazalis to name a few) it is obvious that ’Ladies Love Sauternes’ making it the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
