2010 Chateau Romer du Hayot

Chateau Romer du Hayot – Second Growth Sauternes

RELEASED 18th April 2011 – £140/case bottles or £156/case half bottles

Bill Blatch: As usual, a smoother wine than most, with good sweetness and a very soft texture, flowing evenly through the mid-palate into a gentle and soft finish. A wine for quite early drinking.
James Suckling: 88-89/100
Neal Martin: 86-88/100 – The Romer du Hayot has a subtle bouquet that demands coaxing from the glass, with notes of honey, white flower and leesy aromas. The palate is quite compact at the moment, but with good acidity and a crisp, viscous finish. Not the most expressive Sauternes but it has potential.
Rene Gabriel: 17/20
Jean-Marc Quarin: 14.75/20
