Bill Blatch: This is the creamed-off best part of a small property in Fargues, the rest being sold in bulk. The first vintages (1995-6) were fat and rich, but progressively the more recent vintages have become finer and more precise. This 2010, in spite of its sweetness and fullness, is fine and elegant, with pear-flavoured precision and a long soft finish. Built for drinking quite young, within, say 5 years, while all fresh and fine.
Jancis Robinson: 15.5/20 – Drink 2016-2023. Medium-impact pear juice with quite a dry finish. Firm finish. Respectable but because it is drier than most it probably won’t convert anyone.
Rene Gabriel: 16/20
